Cooling Mods This picture shows the new High Capacity Dual Thermostat Housing (front) and the 1996 1st design single thermostat housing. The dead giveaway is the 4 bolts for the thermostat cover vs. 2 on the early cover. The pre 1996 trucks also had a single thermostat, but mounted the thermostat flange horizontally.
