Fits Duramax 2001-2005 truck applications as well as most Silverado gas engines. Identifiable as flat panel filter. Will not fit 2006 Dmax.

Simply install this filter into the stock box (screen side up) and forget about it until your next oil change. At that point, inspect for heavy buildup and remove any large items. If it is not excessively plugged, leave it till the next servicing. The contrast between the red outer foam and the trapped dirt makes for an easy "at a glance" inspection! Each filter includes a Uni deluxe service kit which is good for 3 or more servicings. Oil wetted foam improves performance and fuel efficiency by trapping more dirt and allowing better air flow. Washable and reusable for thousands of trouble-free miles. Reapply Foam Filter Oil after every washing.

"My oil analysis results have indicated filtration performance equal to or better than the Amsoil dual stage foam filter. I have discontinued the Amsoil filters due experiencing seperation problems with the "blue surround" (latest generation released in 2003) which can result in unfiltered air entering the intake. The Uni is hands down a MUCH better built filter. - JK

If you have one of the Amsoil "blue surround" filters, please check the integrity of the bond between the surround and the filter foam. I have seen a number of these separate which can allow unfiltered air to enter the turbo. This appears to be an early production problem that has been corrected in mid 2003 production units." - JK
